Twilight Thursdays: Now through September. The Memphis Botanic Garden will observe extended hours, staying open until sunset. Free to members or with paid admission. The Water Garden: June 8, 1 p.m. – If you have a water garden, are interested in how to have cleaner water, or if you are not sure what an ecosystem is and how it helps you in your pond, this class is for you. Urban Earth Garden Center, 80 Flicker St.

The Memphis Area Daylily Society Annual Daylily Sale: June 9, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Enjoy a beautiful bloom display along with a great selection of sizes and colors to purchase and expert advice from Society members.

Floral Design: June 13, 10:30-noon. This class with MBG’s Director of Horticulture, Rick Pudwell, combines plant materials from the Botanic Garden grounds and local floral supply. Students will receive the supplies necessary to complete a one-sided design but will need to bring hand tools. Prepayment due by noon on June 5. Shade Gardening, “Working with Nature” : June 22, 1 p.m. Shade can be hard if you are fighting with nature. Learn to be one with the shade garden and which of our plants are best for a long show. Urban Earth Garden Center, 80 Flicker St.
