May 7 -- A series of recent scientific studies has underlined the importance of exercise as we age. In fact, one study went so far as to conclude that lack of exercise, a sedentary lifestyle, is as harmful to us as a major disease or a lifetime of smoking.

May 14 -- Numerous studies have shown that learning a musical instrument can improve cognitive abilities and reduce the risk of dementia. Singing or acting can build self-confidence and painting or ceramic art helps improve motor skills. For 16 years Creative Aging has been bringing the arts to our senior population.

May 21 -- The Best Times Host Cris Hardaway journeys back in time with a visit to three of the oldest houses in the city of Memphis. Take a tour of The Mageveny House, The Mallory Neely House, and the Woodruff-Fontaine House. And we’ll examine why seniors are turning to an all-natural treatment that’s over 2,000 years old to ease their aches and paines... acupuncture.

May 28 -- Hardaway talks with Randy Hutchinson of the Better Business Bureau on how to protect yourself from the latest scams that target seniors. We’ll also look into “Smoking and Your Health.”
